This is the statement every pilot accepts the first time they enter the course. It is repeated here so it is never more than one click away.
AgPilotEDU.com is ground instruction: information compiled from aircraft and applicator manuals, the regulations, and standard practice in the agricultural aviation industry. It is here to make you a better-prepared pilot. It is not your flight instructor.
Your instructor teaches you and signs you off. Nothing here replaces training in the aircraft from a certificated flight instructor, or the checkout your operator and insurer require. Do not attempt a maneuver or procedure from this course until an instructor has taught it to you and found you proficient.
The manual, the regulation and the label govern. Where this course and your aircraft's approved flight manual, 14 CFR, your state's rules or the product label differ, they are right and we are not.
Aircraft information here is general, not for your aircraft. Every aircraft type section, systems description, limitation, speed, weight, procedure, checklist and emergency sequence in this course is general information, compiled from published manuals of one example of the type at one revision, and is written to teach how that kind of aircraft works. It is not operating data for any aircraft you fly. Before you operate a specific aircraft, you must use the approved Airplane Flight Manual, Rotorcraft Flight Manual or Pilot's Operating Handbook, with its current revisions and supplements, for that exact aircraft, serial number and installed equipment, and the manufacturer's current checklists and service documents. Manuals are revised, and STCs, kits and modifications change the numbers. Nothing in this course may be used in place of them.
Techniques are not rules. Many techniques taught here are one good way, not the only way, and none of them is right 100% of the time. Conditions change. Your judgment, your operator's procedures and your pilot in command's decision come first, every flight.
Use at your own risk. You accept full responsibility for how you use this material. Cardon Aviation LLC, the publisher of AgPilotEDU.com, accepts no liability for injury, death, damage, loss, violations or any other consequence of decisions you make after using this course, including mistakes you make applying what it teaches.
AgPilotEDU.com (the "Site") is published by Cardon Aviation LLC, an Idaho limited liability company ("AgPilotEDU," "we," "us"). These terms cover the website, the installable web app, the AgPilotEDU apps distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play, and everything in them: lessons, flashcards, practice questions, simulators, games, calculators, reference pages, audio narration and downloads (together, the "Course").
The Course is educational material for people who are, or are preparing to become, agricultural pilots, ground crew, or operators. It is written from published sources — among them the NAAA Aerial Applicators Manual, state aerial applicator and pesticide training manuals, FAA handbooks and regulations, aircraft manufacturers' published data, and the professional experience of its authors — and it is checked for accuracy. Even so:
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or make a purchase. The separate K–12 area for teachers and students has no accounts and collects no personal information. The Course is written for operations in the United States; if you use it elsewhere, your own country's rules apply and the Course does not describe them.
An account lets your progress follow you between devices. You are responsible for the email address on the account and for anyone you let use it. Tell us at the address below if you think someone else is using it. We may close accounts that are used to share paid content, to scrape the Course, or to abuse other users or the Site.
Beta. While the Site is in open beta (currently through January 1, 2027), the whole Course is free. Prices shown during the beta are planned retail prices, not offers to sell, and may change before anything goes on sale. Access during the beta is not a promise of future free access.
Purchases. When sales open, a purchase is a one-time payment for lifetime access to the content you bought, including updates to that content, for your own personal use. "Lifetime" means for as long as AgPilotEDU operates the Site; it is not a subscription and we will not charge you again for the same content. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your card number. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any sales tax that applies where you live.
Refunds. If you are not satisfied, email ben@agpilotedu.com within 30 days of purchase for a full refund, no questions asked, provided you have completed less than half of the content you bought. After 30 days, or after you have completed more than half, refunds are at our discretion. Refunds go back to the card you paid with, through Stripe, normally within 5 to 10 business days. A refund ends your access to the content refunded.
Cancellation. A course purchase is a one-time payment, not a subscription, so there is nothing to cancel and we never charge you again for it. The one recurring plan is Stay Current, an annual plan for working pilots that says so plainly at checkout. You can cancel it from your account page at any time; you keep access to the end of the year already paid for and nothing more is charged. The 30-day refund above applies to the first year of Stay Current; renewals are not refunded once the new year has begun, so cancel before the renewal date if you do not want it.
Disputes. If a charge looks wrong, write to us first; we answer within two business days and fix genuine mistakes without argument. If you dispute a charge with your card issuer instead, access to the disputed purchase is suspended while the dispute is open, and is restored if it is resolved in your favor.
Founding Pilot discount. Pilots who finish the founding survey during the beta receive a personal code worth 33% off one All-Access purchase at launch (regular price $599). Codes are limited to the first 100 survey finishers, are tied to the account that earned them, can be used once, cannot be combined with any other offer, have no cash value. We may withdraw a code that was obtained by misuse of the survey.
Other promotional codes are one per customer, cannot be combined, have no cash value, and may be withdrawn if misused.
Crew seats. An operation buys seats one time and gives each seat to one named pilot on its roster. The seat gives that pilot the full course while they are on the roster, and the operation may take it back and give it to another pilot when someone moves on. A seat is not the pilot's own purchase: when the seat is released or the operation closes, the pilot's access through it ends, and the pilot may buy the course for themselves at the keep-it price shown on the Site. Seats may not be resold or shared between operations. The 30-day refund applies to seats that have not yet been given to a pilot.
You may read, listen to, practice with and print the Course for your own study, and share screenshots or short quotes to discuss it. You may not copy, download in bulk, republish, resell, redistribute, scrape, or use the Course to build a competing product or to train an automated system; share your login; or remove credits, source notes or watermarks. Operators who buy seats may assign and track their pilots' progress but may not extract the Course for use outside the Site.
The Course — its text, structure, questions, simulators, games, code, photographs and audio — is owned by Cardon Aviation LLC or used with permission, and is protected by copyright. Facts are not owned by anyone; the Course teaches facts drawn from public regulations, government publications and published industry manuals, with sources named in each lesson. Public-domain images from U.S. government agencies are credited and remain public domain; photographs credited to Benjamin Cardon or AgPilotEDU are ours. Manufacturer names, aircraft models, product names and association names belong to their owners and appear only to identify what is being taught. AgPilotEDU is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or speaking for the FAA, any state agency, the National Agricultural Aviation Association, or any aircraft, equipment or chemical manufacturer unless a page says so expressly.
If you send corrections, feedback, survey answers, photos or stories, you give us permission to use them to improve and promote the Course, credited to you where you ask for credit and where it makes sense. We will not publish a testimonial in your name without your written permission. Progress and practice data you generate are handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
If you create an instructor link or join an operator's seat, the people you share it with can see what the link or seat agreement says they can see. Anything an instructor, operator or other pilot tells you through the Site is their view, not ours, and is subject to the same limits as the Course itself: it is information to weigh, not a substitute for your own judgment or your operator's procedures.
We update the Course continually and may add, rewrite, reorganize or retire material, features, prices and these terms. We will keep lifetime purchases working for the content bought, but a specific lesson, tool or page may change or be replaced by a better one. The Site may be unavailable at times for maintenance or reasons outside our control. If these terms change in a way that matters, the effective date above will change and the Site will say so.
THE SITE AND THE COURSE ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, CURRENCY, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE COURSE IS ERROR-FREE, THAT IT REFLECTS THE CURRENT REGULATIONS, LABELS OR MANUFACTURER DATA, THAT IT WILL MEET ANY EMPLOYER'S, INSURER'S OR AGENCY'S REQUIREMENTS, OR THAT YOU WILL PASS ANY EXAM OR OBTAIN ANY JOB.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, CARDON AVIATION LLC, ITS MEMBERS, CONTRIBUTORS AND SUPPLIERS ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF LIFE, INJURY, PROPERTY DAMAGE, CROP OR ENVIRONMENTAL DAMAGE, FINES, LOST INCOME, LOST DATA OR LOST OPPORTUNITY, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SITE OR THE COURSE OR ANYTHING YOU DO AFTER USING THEM, HOWEVER CAUSED AND UNDER ANY THEORY OF LIABILITY. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS TOGETHER IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS IF YOU PAID NOTHING. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW SOME OF THESE LIMITS, SO SOME MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
If someone brings a claim against us because of how you used the Course — for example, because you shared paid content, broke the law, or acted against your operator's procedures and blamed the Course — you agree to cover our reasonable costs of dealing with that claim.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. If we have a dispute, write to us first and we will try to sort it out within 30 days. If that fails, claims must be brought in the state or federal courts for Bannock County, Idaho, and you agree to their jurisdiction. Either side may use small-claims court where it applies. Claims must be brought within one year of the event that caused them.
These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about the Site. If a court finds part of them unenforceable, the rest stands. Our not enforcing a term today does not waive it tomorrow. You may not transfer your account or purchases to someone else without our consent; we may transfer our rights to a successor who takes over the Site.
